Open Day of the Faculty of Technical Sciences
On Friday, 13th of April 2018 Open Day of the Faculty of Technical Sciences took place.
Participants got a chance to take part in the lecture and visit laboratories where usually classes are held.
The event was opened by Jacek Pagieła’s lecture called Why is it worth to become an engineer? After the lecture, Witold Krieser presented 3D printers and robots.
In the second part of the Open Day participants visited laboratories.
The Chemical Threat Laboratory was presented by Janusz Mirosławski and Andrzej Paukszto who carried out experiments regarding detecting poison in biological material and researching air pollution level.
In the Computer Laboratory students got to solve logistics task supervised by Krzysztof Zowada.
The Physical Threat at the Workplace Laboratory was hosted by Iwona Stachurek and Damian Bazydło who conducted experiments which showed how to measure small-particle pollution at the workplace.
In the Materials Science Laboratory students could use metallographic microscopes to watch selected objects. The class was held by Piotr Tkacz.
In the end, Paweł Nowak described rules of measurements using different sensors in the Metrology and Electrotechnics Laboratory.
