Intel Extreme Masters

Intel Extreme Masters is the longest running global pro gaming tour in the world. Started in 2006 by ESL, the competition features the world's best gamers in multiple esport titles. With IEM having over a decade of history, it is considered one of the most prestigious and traditional events in the world. Katowice is one of the host cities since 2013, the event attract over 100 thousand spectators every year.

Ars Cameralis Festival

An interdisciplinary festival established In 1992. It takes place every November and contains events such as concerts, exhibitions, talks, theatre plays, screenings among others. 

Katowice Street Art Air

Katowice Street Art Air is a continuation of previously held festival – Katowice Street Art Festival. In its new form (artist-in-residence) it lasts the whole year and invites seven artists to learn about the city and its residents. Thanks to the time spent in the city, they get a chance to prepare site-specific pieces of art.

Tauron Nowa Muzyka

The ‘Tauron Nowa Muzyka’ festival in Katowice has been merging post-industrial locations with futuristic sounds for the last 12 years. It is one of Poland’s leading musical events that every year presents the most interesting musical newcomers and the greatest classics of modern electronics, but also jazz, rock and hip-hop artists. There are also representatives of contemporary and avant-garde music among the invited guests.

Off Festival

The alternative music festival held every year since 2006. Apart from the concerts, the festival organises also art exhibitions, movie screenings and workshops.

Rawa Blues Festival

Rawa Blues Festival takes place every year at the beginning of October. Since its very beginning in 1981, Rawa Blues became the biggest and with the time also the most recognizable blues event in Poland.

Katowice JazzArt Festival

Since UNESCO announced 30th April as International Jazz Day, Katowice annually participates in its celebration by an international music festival that lasts over a week. Despite its short history, Katowice JazzArt Festival has established its genuine label, as well as solid position within cultural events in Silesia region and in the whole country.


A heavy metal music festival held from 1986 to 2009. It was then reactivated in 2017. The festival invites biggest stars of the metal music stage.


One of the biggest electronic music festival created in Germany, held also in Katowice since 2000. Mayday reflects and determines actual trends in techno music within present year.
